‘After We Fell’ Arrives on Netflix US on January 17, 2022

After what feels like forever waiting, Netflix has finally revealed when After We Fell will premiere. Its Twitter announcement says, “It’s all led to this… After We Fell arrives January 17 on Netflix (in the US).”

For the sake of those who don’t know, the After movie series is a set of young adult films based on the novel of the same title written by Anna Todd. The book series consists of After, After We Collided, After We Fell, After Ever Happy and Before.

Aviron Pictures began releasing movie adaptations of these popular young adult content in 2019. The first film, After, grossed $ 70 million from the global box office. After We Collided appeared in U.S. theaters in October 2020. The third and fourth After films were confirmed for production on September 3 2020.

What Happens in After We Fell?

Directed by Castille Landon from a screenplay by Sharon Soboil, the third addition to the After saga features a young couple Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) and Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin), whose relationship gets complicated by Tessa’s new job in Seattle, her father’s arrival and unforeseen discoveries about Hardin’s family.

Joining the lead characters, are Carter Jenkins, Arielle Kebbel, Chance Perdomo, Kiana Madiera, Frances Turner, Louise Lombard, Mira Sorvino and Rob Estes in supporting roles.

How Does The Film Rate?

After We Fell has been around for quite some time, making a theatrical release in several European countries on Sep 1 and in the U.S. on September 30 by Fathom Events and Vertical Entertainment.

Without mincing words, After We Fell has received criticism for its acting and screenplay, ranking 4.7/10 on IMDb. However, 81% of the audience likes the film. So, if you’re a fan of young adult content, this one could be your cup of tea.

The fourth addition, After Ever Happy is scheduled to be released in 2022 so, we are on the lookout.
