Apple TV’s ‘Servant’ to be Renewed for Season 3 Prior to its 2nd Season Premiere

Ho ho ho, Christmas came early this year, didn’t it? Not only are we getting the unreleased second season of Servant, but we’re set to be served with its third installment in the near future as well! Thanks to Apple TV+, the sophomore season of the mystery thriller series will be making its debut next month.

With the genius of Tony Basgallop, the sci-fi series revolves around the story of a young Philadelphian couple in Sean and Dorothy Turner, played by Toby Kebbell and Lauren Ambrose respectively. As they try and make sense of the death of their newborn son, Jericho, Dorothy hires a nanny named Leanne, played by Nell Tiger Free, to watch over a therapy doll that helped her get through the loss of her child. However, everything changes as soon as the suspicious nanny step foot.

SPOILERS AHEAD! The second season will take more of a creepier, more supernatural turn as the couple search for doll-resurrected Jericho and Leanne. The trailer below suggests that the young couple will be discovering a darker path as they search for the two individuals. Leanne will also be more focused throughout the season, and a lot of her story will rise.

Honestly speaking, it wasn’t really a total surprise that Servant was given the go signal for the third season prior to the premiere of the sophomore season. In fact, the second season was also given the go signal prior to the premiere of the first season back in November.

Servant getting renewed for a third season prior to the airing of its second is par for the course with the show, as it was renewed for a second season ahead of its premiere last November. Executive producer M. Night Shymalan even said that he’s hoping that the series would run for six seasons so from here on out, we’re hoping for good news heading towards the sci-fi series.
