Back to the Outback: Netflix’s New Animation Drops on December 10th

Coming to Netflix on December 10th is Netflix animation, Back to the Outback, which has received mixed reviews from adults… we always think it’s funny when nobody asks the kids what they think.

This animated comedy has turned the tables on the usual animal movies with their biased and unfounded character assassinations of reptiles and creepy crawlies. In Back to the Outback, some of the more dangerous animals in The Australian Wildlife Park have had enough of being treated like monsters by the patrons that stare at them every day. They decide to leave the zoo and go to the outback where they feel they’ll fit in. Led by a snake – venomous taipan Maddie, voiced by Isla Fisher, they make their escape one night but find themselves stuck with a koala from the zoo, named Pretty Boy, voiced by Tim Minchin, and have to take him along. Their adventure to the outback takes them on a wild journey across Australia as they are chased by one of the zookeepers, Chaz, voiced by Eric Bana, but they befriend all sorts of lovely creatures along the way.

The animated movie from Netflix also stars Miranda Tapsell as a thorny devil lizard, Guy Pearce as Frank the spider, and Angus Imrie as Nigel, a scorpion. All of these animals have their own endearing personalities, and we think kids will love them. Directed by Clare Knight and Harry Cripps, Back to the Outback was made for children but it is a family-friendly movie with some cool animal facts and some very cute animal animation!
