Black Mirror Creator, Charlie Brooker, to Create a Mockumentary about 2020 for Netflix

If there’s going to be a documentary mocking what 2020 has been all about, there should only be one director on everyone’s radar: Charlie Brooker––the creator of what seems to be one of the best ever to exist in Netflix libraries.

As fruition always stands by the side of the streaming giant, Brooker is currently preparing himself for his upcoming project with Netflix.

All things considered, the British writer really knows a thing or two about the concept of a dystopian world and sarcasm. If there’s anyone more fit for creating a mockumentary about a whole year of a pandemic in a technology-reliant world, you’ve got your man.

Brooker, among other things, is known for his Annual Wipe series for BBC in the United Kingdom. The series is a mysteriously dark comic-esque look at the past events of the year. The series ran for 10 good years before he had to commit to his other career plans––that being Netflix’s Black Mirror which turned to be a great fortune for the British writer.

The documentary is reported to feature Hugh Grant––the one responsible for actually letting media know about the upcoming project while discussing the finale of HBO’s The Undoing. However, the streaming giant has yet to comment on the documentary. Grant did say that he’s set to play a ‘repellent’ historian.
