Classic Sci-Fi Series, ‘Haven’, to Leave Netflix in January

The list goes on, people! January 2021 has to be one of Netflix’s most dreaded months and it hasn’t even come yet. One more title added to the goodbye-list is Haven and all of the sci-fi series’ five seasons.

Set to depart on the 15th of January, 2021, the series was a sci-fi classic as it stood tall from 2010 to 2015. Haven is loosely based on Stephen King’s The Colorado Kid.

The series follows an FBI agent in Maine who is given the task to further investigate the supernatural occurrences in the town of Haven––all the while rediscovering her past. The series has starred big names including Emily Rose, Adam Copeland, Eric Balfour, and Johns Dunsworth.

When Haven has stepped out of the streaming giant, this will leave but a couple of Syfy shows on the platform: Happy!, The Magicians, and Van Helsing.

If you’re in the United States, chances are you’ve heard of the series or have watched it. The reason being, the series was actually only available in the region––and that’s the only region that will, obviously, see the series leave. Well, there goes all the opportunities for the series to actually be added into the libraries of other regions.

Aforementioned, the sci-fi series is set to leave right smack in the middle of the month. Alongside this removal will be some of Netflix’s bread-and-butters throughout the years with the likes of The Office and Gossip Girl set to leave the streamer at the start of the year.

As for where Haven is relocating, that’s yet to be known. Entertainment One, the distributors of the series, is very likely to auction the show to other platforms––especially NBCUniversal’s newest Peacock platform.
