Climactic Season Finale of The Mandalorian Reveals Huge New Star Wars News

Star Wars fans around the world are reacting to the nail-biting climax of the second season of The Mandalorian.

The emotional and explosive episode saw Din Djarin and his rag-tag squad of heroes chasing down and boarding an imperial starship to rescue his surrogate-son and deliver him (finally) into the hands of safety.

But one of the biggest shocks came after all the action and emotion was over. In a Marvel-style mid-credits scene that nobody was expecting, we saw comeback-king Boba Fett and his new partner Fennic Shand raiding Jabba the Hutt’s infamous palace on the desert planet of Tatooine.

It appeared that Jabba’s former right-hand man Bib Fortuna had been running the show since Jabba departed, and after a brief word, Fett did not hesitate to dispatch the stand-in crime lord.

The scene ended with Fett sitting on the palace throne with Shand at his side, looking like the greatest power couple in the galaxy.

Then came the words ‘The Book of Boba Fett – coming December 2021.’

With so many projects already underway for Lucasfilm and Disney, it’s not sure exactly where this will fit in. Disney is yet to reveal further details and fans are desperate to know whether The Book of Boba Fett will be series or feature film, and what part of Fett’s life it will cover. Other than the release date, not much is known about the new project, but from the look of this reveal, we’ll be seeing Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen reprising their roles from The Mandalorian.

The news comes so soon after the news of the death of original Boba Fett actor Jeremey Bulloch. Fans are hoping that with this new project the legacy of Bulloch will live for another generation.
