‘Good Girls’ Season 3: When is the Newest Season of the TV Drama Releasing?

Early in 2020, we saw the return of Good Girls to NBC for its third season. However, if you’ve been a fan of the show, we’re delighted to tell you that it will slowly ease its way into Netflix during the latter parts of 2020 and the whole of 2021. Considering that the streaming giant’s rights to the show are worldwide, will you be seeing the third season of Good Girls, and if it is, when is it coming? Here’s everything you need to know about the return and the release date of the series!

If you’re reading this and you haven’t watched any of the episodes of the series, then we’re also glad to introduce it to you. Basically, it’s Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman playing housewives who are all entangled with a crime after successfully committing a heist in a supermarket.

Chances are if you love the show, you’ve actually watched the third season already on NBC. However, it was only made available in the United States in early 2020, February, and wrapped up the season in May 2020––boasting 11 episodes to the season. Now, you may ask whether the third season was the last––don’t worry. The show was actually renewed for a fourth season just after the release of the third season’s finale. The creator of the show, Jenna Bans, has this in the bag.

Good Girls has been in Netflix’s library since 2018. The streaming giant has even named it one of its international Originals, however, unlike various series wherein episodes drops weekly––Good Girls‘ approach differed as they only released episodes once the series has concluded. The first season of the series dropped in July 2018 while the second season dropped in the May 2019.

Netflix UK, on the other hand, announced it on their official @NetflixUK Twitter handle that the United Kingdom would be getting the third season of Good Girls this past 26th of July, 2020. See the tweet below!

As expected, other regions may want to wait patiently for the release as internationally, the series should be out in a similar timeframe. Either way, we’ll keep you posted on what the schedules will be.

Unfortunately for the United States, though, the streaming giant won’t be receiving weekly episodes. To add to that misfortune, the US might be the last country to receive the series amongst all international regions.

The good thing is that we can give you a pretty good estimate on when the next season of Good Girls will be. If you’ve been keeping track of when the previous seasons of the series were released, then you may have just as good as an idea as us. On the 1st of January, 2019, the first season of the series was released while the second season was released on the 1st of January, 2020, in the United States.

So, keep your hopes up for the release in either late December 2020 or very early in 2021.

Now, the question arises whether or not Good Girls will be leaving the streaming giant because of NBC’s own streaming service. Don’t worry, Netflix will still be keeping Good Girls in its library.

The most plausible thing that may likely happen is that until the series ends, Netflix will keep releasing new seasons. Once the series ends, however, it’ll leave the streaming giant after a couple of years later––not to be forgotten, hopefully. This is what happens when a series is under a “legacy contract,” per se.

Since the release of NBC’s streaming platform, Netflix has a couple of NBC shows that will be pulled out. So, take this as a gentle reminder to watch some of your favorite NBC shows on the platform as it wouldn’t be long until they’re gone in the streaming giant’s library.
