Is ‘Hotel Transylvania 4’ Finally Happening?

The Hotel Transylvania franchise is known for being a family-friendly entertainment, so it’s no wonder that excitement for Hotel Transylvania 4 is at an all-time high among movie lovers and Netflix users. It’s been a few years since everyone absolutely loved the latest hilarious adventure starring Dracula, Mavis, Johnny, and the rest of everyone’s favorite characters. It’s about time the next volume was released, and based on previous box office results, Hotel Transylvania 4 is in high demand.

So to date, three Hotel Transylvania films have been released. The first film, Hotel Transylvania, was released in 2012, while the second, Hotel Transylvania 2, was released in 2015. Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, the third installment, was released in 2018. Goodnight Mr. Foot, Puppy! and Monster Pets are three short films that have been released.

In February 2019, the sequel to Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation was revealed. It was also confirmed that Hotel Transylvania 4 will be the franchise’s final edition, named Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. Hotel Transylvania 4 start shooting shortly after the official release date was announced, which was in February 2019. Because the film’s release date is set for summer 2021, it’s most likely under post-production right now.

Adam Sandler, who had voiced Dracula in the first three films, confirmed in April 2021 that he would not be reprising his role in the fourth and final installment of the family-friendly franchise. Brian Hull, who voiced the character in the Hotel Transylvania short film Monster Pets, was cast in the role. Kevin James was succeeded by Brad Abrell. Mavis is played by Selena Gomez, and Johnny is played by Andy Sandberg. Back in the mix will be Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade, Kathryn Hahn, and Jim Gaffigan.

The Official Synopsis for ‘Hotel Transylvania 4’:

“Drac and the pack are back, like you’ve never seen them before in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. Reunite with your favorite monsters for an all-new adventure that presents Drac with his most terrifying task yet. When Van Helsing’s mysterious invention, the ‘Monsterfication Ray,’ goes haywire, Drac and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and Johnny becomes a monster! In their new mismatched bodies, Drac, stripped of his powers, and an exuberant Johnny, loving life as a monster, must team up and race across the globe to find a cure before it’s too late, and before they drive each other crazy. With help from Mavis and the hilariously human Drac Pack, the heat is on to find a way to switch themselves back before their transformations become permanent.”

I am sure kids and kids-at-heart are very excited for this upcoming flick! Are you also anticipating for the last sequel of the Hotel Transylvania franchise? Let us know in the comments!
