As we get closer to the release date of Viking’s spin-off series Vikings: Valhalla, Netflix has just released the show’s trailer that showcases the conflict between Christian and pagan beliefs.
Last night, the streaming platform posted the show’s trailer video on Twitter, with the caption, “Three Vikings begin an epic journey that will take them across oceans and through battlefields. VIKINGS: VALHALLA premieres on Netflix, 25 February.”

Trailer
The trailer follows the great Vikings traveler Leif Eriksson in the early 1200s as he comes head-to-head with Northern English royalty. Meanwhile, the Vikings face conflicts that see them divided into Christians and pagans. Eriksson travels through the seas and battlefields together with his sister Freydis Eriksdotter and Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson.
The show’s creator Jeb Stuart, also works as the executive producer, working alongside Alan Gasmer, Morgan O’Sullivan, Michael Hirst and Sherry Marsh.
Cast
Sam Corlett plays the show’s lead Leif Eriksson while Frida Gustavsson plays his sister Freydis Eriksdotter and Leo Suter stars as the prince Harald Sigurdsson.
Other cast members included in the spin-off series are Pollyanna McIntosh as Queen Ælfgifu, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Olaf Haraldsson, David Oakes as Earl Godwin, Laura Berlin as Emma of Normandy, Caroline Henderson as Jarl Haakon, Bradley Freegard as King Canute, Julian Seager as Jarl Gorm, Asbjørn Krogh Nissen as Jarl Kåre, Pääru Oja as Arne Gormsson, Gavin O’Connor as Earl of East Anglia, James Ballanger as Hallbjorn, Álfrún Laufeyjardóttir as Astrid Olofsdotter, Jack Mullarkey as Toke, Louis Davidson as Prince Edmund and Ethan Dillon as Kolbein the Strong.
Will The Vikings Cast Appear in the Spinoff?
It is unlikely that Ragnar Lothbrok’s family and other beloved members of the Vikings show will appear in the spin-off since Vikings: Valhalla takes place over a century after the Vikings’ winding.
Stay tuned for the Vikings: Valhalla premiere on Friday, February 25.
