Netflix has given Manifest a second chance. After being canceled by NBC in June, the streaming service renewed the sci-fi mystery series for a fourth and final season. Netflix confirmed the renewal Monday, as well as the fact that the last season will be super-sized, with 20 episodes.
After more than two months of fan campaign, Netflix finally confirmed the drama’s comeback on Saturday, August 28. On June 14, the show, which follows a lost flight that unexpectedly reappears after five years as if no time has passed for the passengers, was canceled. Despite the cancellation, Manifest quickly rose to the top of Netflix’s Top 10 when the third season began streaming, giving the #SaveManifest social media campaign a boost.

What will Happen to Manifest Season 4?
For those new to the fandom, the drama centers on a group of travelers who board a seemingly regular aircraft from Jamaica to the United States. The travelers deplane into a world aged five years since they initially boarded the moment the wheels contact the tarmac.
The Netflix pickup will provide answers to fans after the series’ early cancellation by NBC, which left unanswered questions and unresolved Season 3 finale cliffhangers for the series, initially created by Rake for a six-season run. That plan will now be simplified to wrap up the story of Flight 828’s passengers in four seasons. The super-sized 20-episode order, Manifest’s most significant season order, will help them achieve that goal.
Season 3 of ‘Manifest’ premiered on Netflix on August 21, 2021. The third season consists of 13 episodes, each lasting 42-49 minutes. The first two seasons of ‘Manifest’ premiered on Netflix in June 2021 and instantly smash viewers. The show quickly became one of the most popular on the platform, and many believed that the streaming behemoth would breathe new life into it.
The first batch of episodes from season 4 of Manifest could be available on Netflix in the 3rd quarter of 2022. The fourth and final season will most likely answer the cliffhanger finale of season 3 by explaining Bily Daly’s disappearance with the plane parts and Cal’s reappearance as a teenager. Both narrative lines have the potential to reveal more about the true character of Flight 828 passengers, as well as the significance of their powers.
