Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead’ Coming to Netflix in the Summer of 2021

Just like the 2020 holiday releases from Netflix, the Summer of 2021 proves to be just as big as Army of the Dead is scheduled to release that time of the year. The film boasts a cast that includes Ana de la Reguera, Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Garret Dillahunt, Hiroyuki Sanada, Matthias Schweighöfer, Omari Hardwick, Raul Castillo, and Tig Notaro.

The project will revolve around a group of mercenaries who find their way across a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas for a heist. Sound intense enough?

In 2008, the project was announced and quickly gained traction when the streaming giant acquired the distribution rights from Warner Bros. in 2019. At that point in time, many on-lookers were tracking any possible bit of updates from the project––whether it be behind-the-scenes, an actor’s post, or anything else in between.

Unfortunately, the optimistic genre mashup won’t be out for a little longer––but do rest assured that the film isn’t going someplace else.

Reportedly, the zombie heist movie is already scheduled to release during the summer of 2021 for it to coincide alongside Army of the Dead‘s official illustrated companion book, Army of the Dead: The Making of the Film. The book will serve as a glimpse behind the scenes of all the characters and locations involved.

Considering that the film has its own book with set photos and Snyder-specials, Netflix might be leaning towards giving this film promotions of a lifetime––just before it streams for the streaming giant.
