Eleven is in the Avengers now?! Oh, wait, Millie Bobby Brown is with the Avengers directors now. Meh, either way, that’s still awesome.
The electrifying Stranger Things and Enola Holmes actress is reported to star in Anthony and Joe Russo’s newest sci-fi film, The Electric State. Alongside the Russos are their old pals from Infinity War and Endgame, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely who are designated to work on the script. That’s a pretty solid lineup if I do say so myself.

Based on Simon Stålenhag’s graphic novel, The Electric State follows a girl (Millie Bobby Brown) in an alternate future. In that future, she meets a robot who was sent by her missing brother. After that, they set out on an adventure to find him––discovering more of the “world of humans mixing with all manner of robots” as well as answering the biggest conspiracy of all.
It looks like a plot the Russos have enjoyed developing for the past couple of years, given to them by Universal Pictures. In a statement, the Russos said:
“We’re thrilled to have this deal with Universal who has committed to a theatrical release of Electric State. This is incredible news for us as filmmakers, and for audiences around the world who want an opportunity to experience films in theaters again. This is also a positive sign that, as vaccines become available, the theatrical market is returning.“
Both parties, Brown and the Russos, have kept themselves busy in the hopes of their return on the biggest screen of all––theatres. The Russos, on one hand, are finishing up their next film titled Cherry that stars Tom Holland and will make its way to Apple TV+ next year.
Brown, on the other hand, is in production for the project that started it all––the fourth season of Stranger Things.
