Don’t Miss It: Netflix Sci-Fi Film ‘Outside the Wire’ Releases Full-Length Trailer

Honestly, 2021 Netflix looks as if they’re trying to build a more engaging community where they update very frequently. Just over a week after celebrating the new year and knowing Netflix, I will hold my optimism for the time being. Either way, the streaming giant has released the official full-length trailer, following the teaser trailer in December, for their upcoming sci-fi action film Outside the Wire.

The film is set in a future where android technology and blooming advancements have taken over the U.S. Military. The story revolves around drone pilot Thomas, played by Black Mirror‘s Damson Idris, who was sent to a militarized zone and eventually finds himself working for, and alongside, an android officer played by none other than the sci-fi and MCU man himself, Anthony Mackie. Their mission is to locate a doomsday device that could annihilate the whole of the world––but it gets harder each time for Thomas as he begins to realize little by little that his tech-savvy partner may have just been hiding some things from him.

Mikael Håfström, the director of the sci-fi film, has some pretty incredible credits if I do say so myself. The list includes Stephen King adaptation 1408Escape Plan starring two of the brawniest and talented muscle men in the business in Stallone and Schwarzenegger, and Netflix’s drama series Bloodline.

Alongside Mackie and Idris are Game of Thrones‘ Pilou Asbæk, Into the Badlands‘ Emily Beecham, House of Cards‘ Michael Kelly, and Free Fire‘s Enzo Cilenti. The Netflix sci-fi film will be streaming on the platform on the 15th of January, 2021.
