Only a few months ago, all hell broke loose (at least for those who’ve watched the same wrestlers as I did) when news of The Big Show’s show conveniently titled as The Big Show Show was coming to Netflix. However, days and months went by and the streaming giant decided to cut ties with the series after just one season. Truly heartbreaking for the fans.
While the show will be releasing a Christmas special later on this year, there’s still no going around the fact that the comedy wasn’t renewed for a second season.
The Big Show himself had little to no comments about the subject matter, however, when it was quickly brought up in social media, Paul Wight (real name of the big guy) praised the cast and crew as well as how he’s grateful. He tweeted:

The tweet had a couple of replies to it as well––saying that it was a good show.
Dang it that was a good show. They always do this, I've seen several shows that hooked me with a season then bam gone. Time to finish my list and move onto another service. This one has gone the route of tvland and cartoon network.

One user said that the streaming giant “always do this,” referring to how they cancel shows after just one season.

Another user said that it was as well written as Sam and Cat starring Jennette McCurdy as Sam Puckett from iCarly and Ariana Grande as Cat Valentine from Victorious––truly one of the best crossovers shows the generation has seen with two of the funniest characters from their respective shows. The user continued saying that no matter how many times they’ve watched the show, it’s “not enough for the second season algorithm.”
However, the show being canceled isn’t the last time we’ll see Big Show on the screen (hopefully). He can carve out his career in acting, just like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, right? Plus, he’s mighty funny.
