December 2020 proves to be one of the biggest months of Netflix––ever. Not only are they releasing some of the most renowned holiday specials (and Originals), but they’re also licensing one of the highest-rated K-dramas in the history of K-dramas with 100 Days My Prince––coming to the streaming giant on the 7th of December.

The series debuted on tvN and was created by Studio Dragon in 2018. Currently, the K-drama series is ranked among the top 10 list of all-time most-watched titles in cable history––not a bad series to go to the streaming giant, eh?
The series revolves around a man who almost dies in an attempted assassination––resulting in a massive memory loss.
The first season boasts of 16 episodes plus two specials. This is the season that the United States and the United Kingdom subscribers should be waiting for in the streaming giant.
One of the factors that made 100 Days My Prince really boom in cables is the fact that two of Korea’s biggest stars feature in the series, Do Kyung-soo and Nam Ji-hyun. The latter, Ji-hyun, isn’t a stranger to Netflix featuring her acting with the likes of Suspicious Partner, Louis, and My Little Baby in the streaming giant’s library.
The streamer’s decision to expand the platform with K-drama libraries has been a true game-changer. Don’t be surprised if 2021 is a complete replica of 2020’s December in terms of output deals––especially how the genre is so different from the Western style of entertainment.
