Netflix Signs Deal for Animated Sci-Fi Series ‘Farzar’

Netflix has just signed an overall deal with animating, writing, and producing duo Roger Black and Waco O’Guin. If you’ve seen the name, then there’s a very high chance you’ve seen their project for the streaming giant, Paradise PD. However, we’re not here for that.

The multi-year agreement consists of the duo not only continuing to run Paradise PD, but also create new animated content exclusively under Netflix’s name––and we’re starting off with Farzar.

The streaming platform ordered 10 episodes of the animated series created by the duo who will also be serving their Paradise PD roles as writers, co-showrunners, and executive producers.

We couldn’t be happier that Netflix finally ‘put a ring on it,” Black and O’Guin stated. “It’s an awesome network full of nice people and a great place to work! Now we can finally get those matching cherry red PT Cruisers we’ve had our eyes on.

Farzar is a sci-fi comedy that revolves around the adventures of Prince Fichael and his crew as they make their efforts to leave their domed human city to battle evil aliens that are hungry to kill them. As they venture out of their comfort zones, Prince Fichael starts to realize that all of these may not be what he thinks it is.

Roger and Waco have a signature brand of humor that animation fans around the world love,” said Mike Moon, Head of Adult Animation for the streamer. “We are delighted to continue to develop more adult animation titles with these two very prolific creators.
