Netflix’s New Spy Series, ‘Treason’ is In The Works

The Daredevil star Charlie Cox has a brand-new role in Netflix’s spy series, Treason. Cox rose to stardom from Netflix’s original series, Daredevil that aired for four seasons from 2015-2018. Now three years later, he has landed a new exciting project with this spy drama miniseries.

Cox will lead the six-episode show together with Olga Kurylenko and Oona Chaplin. There are no confirmations yet on the parts this trio will play in the miniseries, nor other actors who will be joining them, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop once we get more intel.

The Oscar-nominee screenwriter Matt Charman will write and spearhead the series, marking his second partnership with Netflix after the sci-fi film The Mothership, which is also in the pipeline. Working alongside Charman, Foz Allan and Valery Ryan will be the show’s executive producers. Louise Hooper will direct the series. Treason is produced by Binocular Productions, which is the company’s first major project.

The show tells the tale of a renowned spy Adam Lawrence who received his training with MI6. After reuniting with the Russian spy Kara, with whom he has a complex history, he begins to doubt every facet of his life.

The two spies, together with Adam’s wife, Maddy begin to unravel each other’s secrets, explore diplomatic and political connections while clinging to their personal lives and to those who they cherish the most.

The spy drama series stems from Netflix UK, which is one among several to be added to the platform including, the TV remake of One Day and the upcoming shows Eric and Kaos.
