Next In Line: Hulu’s ‘Pam & Tommy’ Hotly Anticipated Miniseries

Hulu is about to drop a drama series based on Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s 90s sex tape scandal, and it may involve a talking penis!

Earlier this month on January 5, news of the miniseries’ premiere started circulating on Twitter. Pam & Tommy on Hulu’s tweet reads, “The Greatest Love Story Ever Sold. Pam & Tommy, starring Lily James, Sebastian Stan and Seth Rogen. The Hulu Original Series premieres February 2. #PAMANDTOMMY.”

Pam & Tommy’s Trailer

The show’s trailer makes you nostalgic as the classic Meat Loaf’s soundtrack, ‘I’d Do Anything For Love’ plays in the background. And for sure, Tommy tried to do anything he could to stop the sex tape he made with this love interest Pamela from spreading. The leakage of the sex tape came at a time when the World Wide Web (www) had just been introduced.

Synopsis

The show is based on a Rolling Stone article published in 2014 called Pam and Tommy: The Untold Story of the World’s Most Infamous Sex Tape. It details how the couple discovered their sex tape had been stolen from their house and leaked on the internet. Idk about you, but my guess is the show packs twice the drama and tickle moments as the 2014 film Sex Tape starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel.

Casting Calls for the Show

Stan and James make an outstanding feature as the show’s iconic 90s couple, Tommy and Pam. But the series is also jam-packed with well-known faces such as Seth Rogen playing the role of Rand Gauthier in addition to his executive producer credit and Nick Offerman playing his partner in crime Uncle Miltie.

Other notable roles include Erica by Taylor Schilling, Richard Alden by Paul Ben-Victor, Seth Warshavsky by Fred Hechinger and Vinny by Paul Sinacore.

Making appearances in some episodes are Pepi Sonuga, Mozhan Marnò, Larry Brown, Spenser Granese, Paul Guzman, Iker Amaya, Adam Dunnells, Chris Mann, Christopher Matthew Cook, Jay Hieron and Mike Seely starring as the late Hugh Heffner.

Where to Watch Pam & Tommy

The miniseries contains eight episodes that will air exclusively on Hulu. The streamer will release the first three episodes on Wednesday, February 2 and the rest every week after the show’s debut.
