Though sadly, the teen comedy-drama show On My Block won’t be renewed for a fifth season, at least we’ll get to experience a new dramatic storyline with the show’s spin-off, Freeridge set to premiere towards the end of this year.
On October 8 2021, @OnMyBlock announced the coming of this new series on Twitter. The post reads, “Freeridge forever! Meet Bryana Salaz, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ciara Riley Wilson and Shiv Pai as they start a new adventure on the block in the upcoming series, Freeridge!”

What is Freeridge About?
The upcoming On My Block spin-off is a female-inspired young adult comedy show that narrates the story of Freeridge, a neighbourhood in L.A. It stars a new friend crew that unravels an uncanny curse as they set off an epic journey.

As of writing, the On My Block cast that has been confirmed for the spin-off show are Ciara Riley Wilson, Bryana Salaz, Shiv Pai and Keyla Monterroso.
Freeridge Storyline
Freeridge takes an unexpected turn from its predecessor, with the plot drifting towards supernatural activities while retaining the hard-hitting topics aired in On My Block.
As we said before, the show focuses on a new group of friends who offset an unforgettable experience after conjuring a curse. We are eagerly waiting to see where the group goes with it.
Is the Freeridge Trailer out?
Unfortunately, as filming is still underway, there is no trailer for the series just yet. But we promise that you’ll know as soon as Netflix releases it.
