Record of Ragnarok got off to a flying start on Netflix with its first season. With many more battles between mankind and the gods yet to be fought, we hope to see a second season in the near future. Netflix has yet to renew Record of Ragnarok for a second season, but we’ll keep you updated with all the latest news and information as it becomes available. Record of Ragnarok is a Netflix Original fantasy-action anime series that is based on Shinya Umeura and Takumi Fukui’s manga series of the same name. Graphinica, the studio behind Hellsing, Wonder Momo, and Another World, is behind the series.
What Should we Expect for Season 2?
The gods win the first two of the 13 Ragnarok contests in Season 1, while the people win the third. Legendary Chinese general Lu Bu and his Valkyrie spouse Randgriz are defeated by Thor, the Norse god of thunder. Zeus, the Valhalla Council’s Chairman, triumphs over Adam, the progenitor of all humanity, and his wife Reginleif. Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, is defeated in match 3 by Japanese swordsman Kojirou Sasaki and his Valkyrie partner Hirst. From the season one finale’s post-credits scene, Jack the Ripper and Hercules prepare to fight.
Season 2 will most likely include the next three to four fights. Even one of the Valkyries and others like Hercules, and Jack is detested so that the Greek hero can find some support in the corner. Finally, with the help of his Valkyrie companion Hlökk, Jack will most likely win the match. Shiva, the Hindu deity of destruction, will most likely face Raiden Tameemon, the famed Japanese Sumo wrestler, and his Valkyrie wife Prud in game 5. Shiva is likely to win the match, putting the gods back in the lead in the tournament. In game 6, the originator of Buddhism, Buddha, may switch sides and fight for humanity.
Netflix has yet to confirm what the future holds for Record of Ragnarok as of this writing. Given that the anime had only been accessible to stream for less than 48 hours at the time of publication, this is understandable.
