Stephen Fingleton’s Thriller Film ‘Nightride’ Set to Release in March 2022 in Netflix UK

If you’ve watched The Survivalist and SLR, then you definitely recognize Stephen Fingleton’s content. His 2021 thriller movie Nighride is set to debut on Netflix in Ireland and UK as a Netflix original on Friday, March 4 2022. However, the film won’t be available in other regions, at least not soon.

Ben Conway serves as Nightride’s writer. The movie is his first-ever project. But he’s got his work cut out for him because he has two upcoming projects this year, including One Way and Whale.

What To Expect from Nightride

If you decide to indulge in the thriller movie next month, here’s what to expect:

A small-time dealer called Budge pulls a deal with money he desperately got from a loan shark. However, when the deal goes sour, he races against time to get back his missing item and close the deal with another buyer before the loan shark catches onto him.

Who Stars in Nightride

Moe Dunford stars as the movie’s lead, Budge. He played the notable role of Aethelwulf in the historical fiction series Vikings that wrapped up after six seasons in 2020. Joining him are, Joana Ribeiro, Gerard Jordan, Ciaran Flynn, John Travers, Stephen Rea, Desmond Eastwood (Magic shop voice cast) and Matthew Alexander Kaufman (GPS Navigation voice cast).

Production

Nightride was produced in quite a peculiar manner. Given that it’s a real-time one-shot thriller, it was only filmed in a single night from 9:00 p.m. until just after midnight in the empty streets of Belfast during the lockdown.

Reviews

Nightride first debuted in September 2021 at the Toronto Film Festival. It has since obtained a 77% rating on IMDb, which is above average. Hopefully, it’ll get better reviews after the movie premieres on the streaming platform.
