‘The Boys’ Showrunner Reveals Sixth Episode’s Title for Season 3

The early days of 2021 either consist of massive releases or projects in pre-production. One example of the latter is the third season of The Boys. However, thanks to showrunner Eric Kripke, we have a little taste of what’s about to happen with the upcoming episodes.

In true The Boys fashion, Kripke let the world know through a pretty NSFW tweet––revealing the title of the sixth episode of the popular Amazon series: “Herogasm” written by Jessica Chou. It doesn’t get any more The Boys than that, right?

And I quote:

From day one, everyone dared me to make this episode,” Kripke tweeted alongside a photo of the overall script and title. “CHALLENGE MET MOTHERF***ERS,” he blatantly continued.

Not only is “Herogasm” a part of the story and therefore the series, but it also seems as though it is a fan-service for those who have read the comics. The six-issue spinoff was given life by writer Gareth Ennis and was illustrated by John McCrea. The story revolves around our superheroes wandering off to a drug-induced orgy under the assumption that they’re fighting evil aliens.

Sure, the first two seasons of The Boys couldn’t get graphic enough. Assuming that “Herogasm” won’t be as graphic, Kripke says that it sure will be NSFW––which is pretty applaudable. Long-time fans will surely nod their heads to that.

The show stars the likes of Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, and Karen Fukuhara. As for the third season, their newest addition will be Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy.

The production for the third season of The Boys is slated to start in the wake of 2021. However, news of the third season ends there.
