The Standups Season 3: Netflix Release Date and Trailer

The period after Christmas can be such a downer. The excitement is over, the family get-togethers were a dramatic let-down, and all there is to do now is wait for the new year and a miserable January. Well, here’s something to cheer you right up, Netflix has got you boo. Season 3 of The Standups hit your screens yesterday. Turn on your Netflix and let it cheer you up. 

What is The Standups?

The Standups is a collection of 30-minute recordings of usually less well-known stand-up comedians, put together by Netflix. The first season premiered on July 4th, 2017, and the second season followed on March 20th, 2018. Netflix renewed The Standups for a third season which dropped yesterday, December 29th, 2021. The Netflix tagline reads: 

‘Comedy’s freshest voices take the stage in LA for half-hour specials packed with sly jokes, hilarious anecdotes and awkward confessions.’

Who are The Standups?

Season 1 featured comedians such as Nate Bargatze, The Mindy Project actress Fortune Feimster, Black-ish actor Deon Cole, Nikki Glaser, Beth Stelling, and Billions actor, Dan Soder.

In Season 2 we saw Joe List, British comedian Gina Yashere, Kyle Kinane, Rachel Feinstein, Undateable actor Brent Morin , and Aparna Nancherla.

So Who is in Season 3?

This season we get to enjoy the comedy stylings of Brian Simpson, Naomi Ekperigin, who has written for the television shows Great News and Broad City, Mark Normand, Janelle James, Dusty Slay, and Saturday Night Live’s Melissa Villasenor.
