Simone Ashley PROMISES that Season 3 of ‘Bridgerton’ will be ‘SEXIER than ever’

The star Simone Ashley has stated that Season 3 of ‘Bridgerton’ will be “sexier than ever.”

In an interview with ELLE, Ashley promised that the third instalment of the Netflix and Shondaland series is ready to be as sexually charged as the two previous seasons, if not more. “I think it’s going to be hotter than ever,” she said.

Ashley wasn’t able to disclose too much about the upcoming season, although she did share that the audience will see a different side of her character Kate in the third season of ‘Bridgerton.’

“I think you’re going to see a much calmer side this season,” she added. “We’ll likely see that ‘softness’ in Kate’s wardrobe and her marriage to Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey).”

“She is going to be very happy with her husband.”

Ashley portrayed the feisty Kate Sharma in the second season of the show produced by Shonda Rhimes and proved to be the perfect match for Bailey’s Anthony.

Viewers were delighted to see how they transitioned from enemies to lovers, and ultimately to husband and wife.

While the second season of ‘Bridgerton’ revolves around the romance between Anthony and Kate, the third will explore the relationship between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

‘Derry Girls’ star Nicola Coughlan has confirmed that her character from Bridgerton, Penelope (who is also Lady Whistledown), will be at the centre of attention in the upcoming season. She has also teased a “Polin” (Penelope and Colin) sex scene. Could this be the “hot” detail hinted at by her co-star Ashley?

The news that the third season of Bridgerton will follow the romance of Colin and Penelope surprised fans familiar with the book series by Julia Quinn on which the show is based.

Quinn’s third book, ‘An Offer from a Gentleman,’ focuses on the search for love by Benedict Bridgerton, but the series producers have decided to change the order for the third season.

Coughlan defended the change and explained that, ultimately, the decision was not in her hands.

Although the recent arrival of ‘The Queen Charlotte’ on Netflix has in some way filled the void left by ‘Bridgerton’ in the lives of fans, there is still no official release date for the third season. The filming of the third season of ‘Bridgerton’ began in July 2022, so viewers are expected to not have to wait much longer to see it on screen.

Seasons 1 and 2 of ‘Bridgerton’ are already available on Netflix, along with the spin-off ‘The Queen Charlotte.’
