CBS’s ‘Ghosts’: Release Date, Plot, Cast, and New Trailer for the Haunting Comedy

When you hear the word “ghost,” what comes to your mind? Afraid? Apparitions? Cold breeze? While there are, quite possibly, some scary scenarios out there, CBS’s Ghosts really does make you question everything you know about these spooky phantoms. There might be ones living with us, but they might be half-dressed in suits without the pants part or a scout troop leader. Who knows? Maybe they’re friendlier than we thought?

What is Ghosts all about?

The series follows Samantha (Rose McIver) and her husband Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) as they inherit an extravagant, yet slowly disintegrating country manor. The very first thing that pops into Samantha’s head is to turn it into a bed-and-breakfast, for whatever reason. However, the manor is filled with ghosts, and having the manor filled with even more people horrifies the living shi––oh wait, they’re not alive anymore. Now, the dead plan on scaring visitors away by doing ghostly work like flicking the lights on and off and making vases fall. The only issue is that they’re really not good at being ghosts.

See? Ghosts aren’t all that bad. Some are even innocent enough to even welcome you to your new home. Samantha, after falling down a flight of stairs because of a fallen vase, bangs her head, and voila––now she’s able to see the ghosts in high definition.

Who are attached to Ghosts on CBS?

It’s already a given that we’ll be seeing a lot of Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar. However, the rest of the cast shouldn’t be underestimated as it includes:

  • Brandon Scott Jones (The Good Place) as Isaac, a 1700s military man
  • Richie Moriarty (What We Do In The Shadows) as Pete, a scout troop leader who met his demise through an arrow
  • Asher Grodman as Trevor, an absolute 90s chum who apparently misplaced his pants
  • Rebecca Wisocky (Star Trek: Picard) as a woman from the 1800s
  • Sheila Carrasco (Jane the Virgin) as Flower, a drug-loving hippie
  • Danielle Pinnock (Young Sheldon) as Alberta, a 20th-century lounge singer
  • Román Zaragoza as Sasappis, a very sarcastic man from the 1500s
  • Devan Chandler Long as Thorfinn, a Viking from the year 1009

You just know that with this lineup of ghosts, everyone would be trembling in fear––or laughter. I don’t know which one but either way, fans will take it happily.

When is the release date of Ghosts on CBS?

Unfortunately, just like any other series in the world right now, Ghosts‘ release date is still undisclosed to the public. However, it will boast 13 episodes for the first season on CBS.

Is there a trailer for Ghosts?

I am very much happy to inform you that there is! Honestly, even the trailer is hilarious––makes you impatient to watch the series all the more.
