Netflix’s ‘Atypical’ Season 4: Release Date, Plot, Cast, Trailer, and What to Expect

Recently, Netflix has announced the release date of Atypical‘s Season 4. It’s been a long time coming––and we honestly thought it’d be longer for the new set of episodes to come. But, alas, the streaming giant has delivered and is bringing the fourth season to life soon!

The series was given high hopes, and deservingly so, after it was renewed very shortly after its third season during the summer of 2019. At that point, expecting the season to come in 2020 wasn’t too farfetched. However, because of the pandemic, it was massively delayed alongside most, if not all, series all around the world.

Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season of the series!

What is Atypical Season 4 about?

While there isn’t a synopsis for the fourth season just yet, it’s safe to assume that some parts of the story will answer some of our questions. So, if you haven’t watched the third season––or any season, for that matter––then spoiler alert!

Though the Gardners were on rocky ground, the series did still end with a happy ending. Through it all, Sam and Zahid decided to make up and are going forward together in the upcoming season. If anything, the characters’ growths are ones to watch––especially how roommates and the thought of having to grow up lingers their minds.

There are still a couple of questions that will only be answered once the new season comes and that includes whether or not Doug and Elsa are ready to get back together. During the end of the third season, we saw how the couple decided to try again and give this relationship thing a good try.

Lots of stories left to tell, and we hope the fourth season does not disappoint!

When is Atypical Season 4 releasing on Netflix?

Let’s get straight to it. The fourth season of Atypical will be premiering on the streaming giant on the 9th of July, 2021. The news was announced on the 1st of June, 2021. As expected, Netflix does love their one-month-before-release announcements.

Aforementioned, the fourth season was expected to storm the streamer in 2020––but the pandemic had other plans. Either way, we’re just happy to see the series get back on its feet!
