I hear the blues calling to you, sweetheart. Kelsey Grammer is back as Seattle’s snobby but popular radio psychiatrist for tossed salads, scrambled eggs, and a revival that fans are torn about after an almost 20-year layoff.
“I’d want to congratulate Paramount+ on its foray into the streaming world,” Grammer stated, “having spent over 20 years of my creative life on the Paramount lot, both producing shows and performing in numerous,” he said. “I’m looking forward to sharing the next chapter in Dr. Frasier Crane’s continued adventure.”
Over the course of 11 seasons and 264 episodes on NBC, “Frasier” received 37 Emmy Awards, making it one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, and Peri Gilpin also starred in the series, although none of them are currently linked to the revival. Martin Crane’s actor, John Mahoney, passed away in 2018.
