‘Godzilla Singular Point’: The Netflix Anime’s Release Date and New Trailer

Netflix is at it! They don’t care how much it takes, but 2021 looks promising for the streaming giant. In fact, this might just be one of their best years in existence. They’ve been giving life to a lot of their catalogs––from teen dramas, stand-up comedies, and especially anime. Nothing new here, we all know that the streaming giant loves its animes. This time, however, it’s about one of the most culturally known icons in the whole world, Godzilla.

Recently, the streamer dropped their newest trailer for the upcoming Godzilla Singular Point.

What is Godzilla Singular Point all about?

Godzilla will be undergoing some massive makeovers in the coming weeks. I don’t think we’ve had a month where the Kaiju will be released in both film and anime form. You know what I’m talking about: the massive climax and bout of the Monsterverse, Godzilla vs. Kong. However, before we enjoy that literal battle of the behemoths, Godzilla’s about to undergo some major anime makeover from Studio Ghibli animator, Eiji Yamamori.

With a brand new design, this new series will be offering the entertainment business the newest take on the franchise––one that features the newest human characters created by Blue Exorcist‘s Kazue Kator.

The series is officially described as:

Godzilla Singular Point is an all-new animated TV series that marks the beginning of a new project for Godzilla, one of Japan’s most iconic characters. This anime series unfolds over 13 episodes to tell a new and original story unlike anything seen in the Godzilla franchise before.

When is Godzilla Singular Point releasing on Netflix?

The streaming giant has already confirmed that Godzilla Singular Point will be premiering on the 25th of March, 2021 alongside its 13 episodes.

Does Godzilla Singular Point have a trailer?

It does, of course! Back in October 2020, Netflix released a trailer on YouTube that flaunted the dominant animation of the series. If you want to check it out, feel free!

However, as Godzilla Singular Point gets closer to its release date, Netflix Japan has dropped a brand new trailer for the series that racks up a few more information about what we should expect. Case in point, it looks like we’ll be seeing more of Jet Jaguar and a handful of Kaijus in action––all animated and brought to life from their original TOHO portrayals. Of course, what’s a trailer without its epic share of music? Check it out!

Who are attached to Godzilla Singular Point?

With this big of a story from a culture that loves Godzilla to the brim, it mainly deserves an all-star cast of actors. The list includes Yume Miyamoto, Shoya Ishige, Taro Kikuchi, Wataru Takagi, Ayako Takeuchi, Misaki Kuno, Rie Kugimiya, Yohei Azakami, Jin Urayama, Kotori Koiwai, Kenichi Suzumura, Kaho Kouda, Ryotaro Okiayu, Runa Onodera, Tomoyuki Shimura, Hiromichi Tezuka, Masako Isobe, and Kenta Miyake.

How about you? What do you think about the newest trailer and the soon-release of Godzilla Singular Point? Will this be enough to continue the hype towards Godzilla vs. Kong? Maybe like us, you have a certain set of expectations for the series––and we can’t blame you. It’s a Japanese icon portrayed by Japanese talent themselves. Either way, enjoy your Godzilla-filled month and we hope the Kaiju doesn’t eat you while you’re sleeping.
