It’s as if seasons 12 and 13 of Heartland are wild boars and Netflix is out to hunt them. Unfortunately, the wild isn’t serving the streaming giant good as the series is still yet to arrive on the platform––making them two seasons behind. However, I’m adamant in saying that Netflix has already planned a date with the beast––finally some developments for the series.

Despite getting tons of new content for this year’s catalog, Netflix has been slacking in the new-season-release department––especially for Heartland. The streaming giant in the United States is typically almost always one or two seasons behind. Take, for example, the family-drama TV series where the 10th season was only added to Netflix in the United States in August of 2018 and the 11th season a year after. We haven’t heard anything about it since.

What is Heartland all about?

Now, it isn’t even a question of whether or not you’ll watch the series, but when. If this series isn’t on your watchlist, then what are you even waiting for? There’s a reason why it was renewed with so many seasons, in the first place. Based on Lauren Brooke’s book series, the story follows two sisters and their grandfather searching for their family ranch. The story boasts of the best parts of running a ranch and how the dynamics of it change every day––but it isn’t always uphill.

Heartland originates from CBC in Canada who distributes a hefty amount of their shows on the streaming giant––some even waiting to be dubbed as Netflix Originals like Workin’ Moms and Schitt’s Creek.

The 12th season of Heartland ran on CBC between January 2019 and April 2019 while the 13th season dropped from September 2019 to November 2019. In May 2020, CBC did confirm that they would premiere the 14th season sometime in 2021.

When will Season 12 of Heartland be on Netflix?

Though both seasons are already available in the majority of Netflix regions and, of course, CBC in Canada, the United States is a little late to the party. Actually, there’s really nothing new here. Netflix in the United States would either be first or among the last regions to be given the latest season or show on the platform so I’m sure fans and audiences alike can understand.

Originally, it was first expected that the United States would be premiering the 12th season during the regular release month of the series––which is August 2020, specifically. However, as we all know, August 2020 is long gone. You can rejoice now, though, as the 12th season of Heartland is already available in the United States without barely any announcement from the streaming giant.

Rumors and speculations of Heartland following other shows’ axing in 2020 seemed to be all the more real when there was absolutely no news about it. In January 2021, however, fans finally got the news they were waiting for, and that finally, Heartland “seasons” was coming to Netflix on the 1st of February, 2021.

When will Season 13 of Heartland be on Netflix?

Lucky for Netflix subscribers in the United Kingdom, they were the first ones to receive season 13 of Heartland (outside those who’ve seen it in CBC in Canada, of course). In fact, they received it almost a year earlier on the 1st of March, 2020.

Almost all Netflix regions now boast of the 13th season of the family-drama TV series, though, so no worries there. For the United States, however, there were predictions that the latest season wouldn’t be released until August of 2021. And so, take this as a blessing that it came even earlier.

For now, you have every right to enjoy all seasons (so far) from CBC in Canada’s Heartland. Take this article as an announcement and a warning for those who haven’t watched the show.
