How to Watch College Football without Cable in 2024

It’s been a weird time hasn’t it? But the good news is despite all of the weirdness of the last year, we can always count on sports when we want to turn our brains off and enjoy some of the best athletes in the world go head-to-head.

College Football officially returns August 28th, and with that date rapidly approaching, more and more hype is being built around which teams are going to break away and dominate this season. College sports used to be dominated by cable, but now several streaming services have come along and included it in their packages as well.

With more convenient options and better deals scattered throughout the streaming landscape, it’s never been a better time to ditch cable and try one of the new exciting options available, but which ones include a decent sports package and which ones don’t? Let’s take a look at all of the streaming services that provide some way to watch college football, and which one is right for you.

Hulu

Hulu has long since been the king of the live sports arena, and it’s never been clearer than their slogan, “Hulu has live sports”. Although many streaming services has previously shied away from paying the high amount to have a great sports package, Hulu has basically run their streaming service pitch off of it, but how much is it going to cost you?

Price and packages

Hulu offers a single package at $64.99 a month, which includes a very strong sports package. Of the options we will be covering on this list, Hulu probably has the most complete package, and if you are the kind of person who doesn’t want to miss a single big game, this could be the best choice for you.

And a few more. Hulu ensures that you will have access to almost every college football game, and they offer it at a tremendously good value too. While other services are going to come in under the $64.99 asking price, none of them are going to provide quite as much value for their price. On top of a wide-array of sports options, Hulu also includes their massive On-Demand library as part of Hulu Live TV. Besides maybe Netflix, Hulu has long had the best On-Demand selection and that alone merits the asking price.

fuboTV

fuboTV has been making some noise in streaming recently, with a package geared towards sports fans that aren’t as concerned about other channels. Recent deals with ESPN have also made them a reliable location to watch college football.

Package

fuboTV offers three plans, with the lowest price being the Family plan, which starts at $64.99 a month. This package includes tons of sports channels like:

And a bunch more. The problem is that the add-on is going to run you an additional $10.99 a month, putting you at around $75 a month for live TV.

Sling TV

Sling is a great affordable option for cord cutters that don’t want to pay a lot of money after switching from cable. Sling offers two packages, Sling Orange and Sling Blue, that offer slightly different experiences each at about $45 a month.

Again, unfortunately either way you are going to be missing out on some channels because of how Sling TV organizes their packages, but there is some overlap.

Vidgo has recently jumped into the streaming fray with a model of being affordable and offering a bunch of sports channels. For only $40 a month you can have access to channels like:

The model is geared towards college sports, and so its perfect for college football fans looking for just that. Vidgo is a cheaper alternative than Sling TV, who usually corners that market.

Youtube TV

Youtube TV has quietly become a solid way to watch sports reliably. They currently offer a single package that comes in at $64.99 a month, which includes over 70 channels like:

This service is similar to a lot of other big name streaming services, and AT&T recently created this service from the struggling Directv Now service from a few years ago. AT&T offers two packages, with the cheapest clocking in at $69.99. For over $84 a month you will the most out of their entertainment package, but it is costly.
