However, you do know that the fourth season of Hunter x Hunter is there, and there’s a huge possibility that you’ve already watched it. First off, Hunter x Hunter is one of the biggest Japanese anime series in the world. The series is based on Yoshihiro Togashi’s manga of the same name. In the Fall of 2019, the franchise marked its 20th anniversary. Imagine, 20 years of entertaining fans all around the globe with fantastic animations, storylines, and everything else in between. If you’ve been following the manga, you’ve known for quite a long time that the last manga chapter arrived in 2018. However, the anime series is yet to be complete. As far as the series goes, it was originally made in 2002 but, unfortunately, was canceled as fast as season one failures on the streaming giant. However, 2011 proved to be the year of the manga’s best adaptation on the screen.
The storyline of Hunter x Hunter revolves around Gon Freecss and his famously legendary hunter father. Gon willingly employs himself in the arts of the hunters––wishing that he could be like his father. With insurmountable potential and great friends to go alongside, Gon has everything he needs to achieve his dream of becoming the world’s greatest hunter in the hopes to find his father.
March 2019 has to be the biggest month for Netflix’s anime library with releases of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and, of course, Hunter x Hunter with a whopping 58 episodes to its name. After a year has passed, the anime has accumulated subscribers and newly acquired fans to their audience-base as Netflix releases three seasons of the anime along the way.
If you’re asking about when the next season of the anime will be coming, well, if we take into account previous release dates––Hunter x Hunter season 5 will be coming along the lines of February or March 2021.
So far, the only regions streaming Hunter x Hunter are Belgium, France, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Thailand, Argentina, Canada, United States, Germany, and Switzerland.
Among that list, only Belgium, France, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, and Thailand features six seasons to the anime’s name. Argentina, Canada, United States, Germany, and Switzerland all feature only four seasons of the anime.
The countries with six seasons of Hunter x Hunter have been blessed with one season that amounts to a massive 61 episodes.
As fans of the anime series await the return of their favorite binge-watch on the streaming giant, they’ve been clueless on whether or not the series will be making a comeback on the platform.
On the 24th of September, 2014, the last episode of the Japanese dub was released. However, the English dub didn’t release its final episode until the 22nd of June, 2019. One of the longest-running mangas to exist with 20 years under its name, the manga of Hunter x Hunter hasn’t been finished by Yoshihiro Togashi. So, if Togashi plants to conclude the manga in the near future, then that means there’s still more to come for both the manga and the anime.
