Rather than the big screens, where it has belonged for so long, the new highly anticipated James Bond film may just find its humble abode on either Netflix or Apple TV. Reportedly, the two streaming platforms are willing to pay big money for the film.

Drew McWeeny was the first to drop the news on Twitter that No Time to Die will potentially be coming to a streaming service. The idea, in itself, is insane––but the numbers, however, that’s a whole different story.

According to McWeeny, there were some “MONSTER offers” in front of MGM.

The exact numbers are still unknown, considering that McWeeny didn’t disclose any of that information. However, what McWeeny did say was that there was a “serious pressure” building on MGM’s shoulders to sell the awaited film. Since the pandemic, movies that were scheduled for cinematic releases have thrown that idea to the wind. Most of them, however, have gone to streaming platforms such as Netflix. As movies come to the streamers, it’s no surprise that movies with such stature as No Time to Die will be coming to either one of two of the streaming platforms.

For example, Mulan has gone to Disney Plus for an additional cost of $30 to consumers, not to mention their subscription plan amounting to $7. Coming 2 America, on the other hand, came to Amazon Studios in December and was reportedly sold for more than $120 million.

There have been some speculations that the film could’ve sold for more than just a couple of hundred million dollars, one of which came from McWeeny himself when he replied to a person who commented on the acquisition of Coming 2 America.

No Time to Die marks Daniel Craig’s last time as the legendary James Bond––one of the best to ever do it––and will also be a milestone for the franchise as this will be their 25th film.
