‘Never Have I Ever’ Release Date and Plot
The popular coming-of-age drama Never Have I Ever will begin streaming on Netflix on July 15, according to series star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. Ramakrishnan, who plays the academically competitive and fiery Indian American adolescent Devi in the program, announced the news on Instagram. Devi will continue to contend with the demands of high school and domestic conflict in the new season, while also navigating new romantic relationships. In order to shed her nerdy image, she decides to cross one item off her cool bucket list: losing her virginity to Paxton Hall-Yoshida, the hottest guy in school. After kissing her old nemesis at the end of the first season, Vishwakumar finally gets the attention she craves from her crush Paxton. She’s then faced with the news that she might be moving to India.
While most specifics about the current season are kept under wraps, Ramakrishnan says she hopes season two focuses more on her character loving herself for who she is—a difficult task for many teenage girls.
Never Have I Ever season 2 began filming in November 2020, as the actors confirmed in videos released on the show’s official social media channels. Along with Season 2 newcomer Megan Suri, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Jaren Lewison, Darren Barnet, Lee Rodriguez, and Ramona Young star. Common, Tyler Alvarez, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and P.J. Byrne are among those expected to return to the show.
