‘Avengers: Endgame’ Supposed Post-Credit Scene? Paul Bettany Reveals ‘WandaVision’ Set-Up

Is there even a need to say “spoiler alert” if most of the earth’s population have already watched Avengers: Endgame or at least know what happened? Guess not. Despite the film bringing back almost all of our favorite heroes (a salute to you, Black Widow), Paul Bettany’s Vision didn’t see the awesome battle against Thanos.

His mysterious return to Disney+’s WandaVision brought up a couple of questions, however, but apparently, there’s an explanation to that. During an interview with IMDb, Paul Bettany said that he was supposed to show up after the credits of critically-acclaimed Endgame that would help set-up WandaVision as we know it today.

The first two episodes of the life of Bettany’s Vision and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch through a dreadful sitcom just landed on Disney+ and it’s definitely worth the watch if you already miss Bettany.

Back to the supposed post-credit scene, yes? Bettany reveals that the scene would’ve featured Scarlet Witch searching for Vision’s body in the morgue. Why in the morgue, I don’t know. Knowing Scarlet Witch, some type of reality-warping magic would’ve happened to bring Vision back to life.

At one point there was going to be a tag, where [Wanda] opened a sort of body bag drawer and there was the Vision,” Bettany said. “[Marvel Studios’] Kevin [Feige] kind of talked to me and said, ‘I’ve got to pull the shots.’ And I was like, ‘Ugh!’ Because I really wanted that profit participation!

However, the Russo Brothers weren’t really up for the scene as Endgame represented the end of an era. Putting out a teaser for the next Marvel project would just leave a bad taste in the mouth.
