Girolamo, who had already left the project wrote, “Thank you for all the touching messages about Three Pines; I understand the disappointment that it won’t return to Prime Video. I actually left Three Pines last year to work on another project and haven’t been involved in the conversations regarding renewal.

However, I’ve been told that Prime Video, Sony, and Leftbank attempted to bring it back but failed to reach a positive mutual agreement. It was a huge privilege to work with the talented crew and cast who made Three Pines special.”

Louise Penny and Elle Máijá Tailfeathers, writer and star in the series, shared their disappointment regarding the cancellation on Instagram.
