The inner 90s child in you has awoken. More likely than not, Nickelodeon’s (see, truly 90s) Are You Afraid of the Dark? set you in front of the entrance of horror-ville. Having served a whopping seven seasons and boasting a career of 91 episodes, the anthology series revolving around The Midnight Society has been a childhood staple. Dun dun dunnnn! The world of Are You Afraid of the Dark has so much more potential when it premiered its final episode in 1996. In 2019, it returned it in the form of a miniseries that was rated off the roof––with that, Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Curse of the Shadows is set to premiere on Nickelodeon on the 12th of February, 2021. The six-part limited series revolves around a brand new set of teens to continue the legacy of The Midnight Society and uncover the mystery of what’s known to be the Shadowman.

The trailer, of course, is as entertaining as ever––giving visual tributes to classics such as A Night on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. As for the cast, the list includes the likes of The Astronaut‘s Bryce Gheisar as Luke, The Baby-Sitters Club‘s Malia Baker as Gabby, Part of Five‘s Parker Queenan as Connor, Arjun Athalye as Jai, Beatrice Kitsos as Hanna, and Dominic Mariche as Seth.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Curse of the Shadows is set to premiere on Friday, February 12, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
