What a great duo this is. Who would’ve thought stars from Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The Witcher would have this great of chemistry! Chance Perdomo (Ambrose Spellman in Sabrina) and Anya Chalotra have recently ventured out of television to try the podcast industry with BBC Sounds’ sci-fi audio series, The Cipher.
An official trailer for “The Cipher” was released today on BBC Sounds! The new podcast thriller starring Anya Chalotra, Chance Perdomo & George Takei will be available this Christmas. pic.twitter.com/1cgyH57Erk

The podcast revolves around 16-year-old Sabrina, voiced by Chalotra, who solves a cryptic online puzzle that even the greatest of minds cannot. Soon after, she finds herself looking for a serial killer in the international setting––and joining her is Benny (Perdomo), a teenager from New York who also solved the Parallax puzzle.
Speaking to Bustle, Perdomo said that The Cipher is a “little bit of Doctor Who, a little bit of Stranger Things, and I would roll some of Marvel’s Avengers in there, too. I would then squish that into this lovely bombastic audio experience that we’re serving to the audience.”
If you’re interested in testing out the waters for a brand new way to experience sci-fi, this might be a good place to start––the podcast. The duo was asked what listeners will get from BBC Sounds’ audio series, they answered:
“This podcast drama, this audio experience is mad, and quite bombastic. Even amidst everything going on, you’ll find a lot of escapism, and an awesome adventure,” said Chance Perdomo.
“It really does have a bit of everything, and I think it will tug at a lot of peoples heartstrings, and also let everyone’s imaginations go a bit wild and free. They can definitely escape in the world of The Cipher,” Chalotra added.
