Jason Momoa, known for his astounding charm and wicked talents, is coming to Netflix for his next feature film. The Aquaman and Justice League star is not only a superhero but also a loving dad in his Netflix movie called Sweet Girl. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Momoa-starred film!
What is Sweet Girl all about?
Sweet Girl tells the story of a father who’s on a deadly mission for revenge. The father, a devoted family man named Ray Cooper, promises justice against the pharmaceutical company in charge of pulling out what was the only chance of saving his wife (Adria Arjona) from cancer. In his mission to know the truth, he finds a deadly encounter that puts not only his life in danger but also his daughter Racher (Isabela Merced). Now, Ray’s main motive is to avenge the one he loves to protect the one he has left.
If anything, that sounds like Momoa is about to shed his charm to transform into a revenge-filled widower. Previously, the streaming giant has already announced that Momoa and Merced are set to star in the film as well as its release sometime this year.
When is Sweet Girl coming to Netflix?
Finally, on the 8th of June, Netflix gave the film an official release date. This is your cue to mark your calendars, people, because this is one film you wouldn’t want to miss.
During the first day of Netflix’s Geeked Week event (which I am so in love with, by the way), the streaming giant has revealed that Sweet Girl will be coming to the platform on the 20th of August, 2021. Obviously, that’s just a couple of months away before it debuts on the platform. So as to relieve your tension in waiting, Netflix also shared a couple of photos from various movie scenes.
