Dream Come True for West Michigan Chef as She Sets to Compete on Netflix’s Reality Show ‘School of Chocolate’

Good news for chocolate lovers as Netflix prepares to launch a whole new mouth-watering reality series, School of Chocolate on 26th November.

A Dream Come True for Chef Amanda Miller

No one is as excited as Chef Amanda Miller though. She is a local chef and culinary instructor at Baker College’s Culinary Institute of Michigan who has been selected as a contestant on this upcoming show.

Netflix launched the show’s trailer on 15th November, which will leave you drooling over the varieties of savoury chocolate ganache made by the one and only Chef Amaury Guichon, the show’s astounding host.

Miller remarks that not only meeting Guichon but also getting to learn to learn from him, even in a contest is an unimaginable experience for her.
How Did She Land the Gig?

The show’s producers reached out to Miller via her social media. She then sent in her application and was ultimately chosen as one among only eight of the show’s participants. Interviews were conducted via zoom, and she also sent in videos showing off her culinary abilities.

What Miller Hopes to Achieve at The School of Chocolate

Miller acknowledges that watching Chef Guichon helped her grow as a chef. “I have always been a closeted chef, but Guichon has helped me think outside the box and push past my comfort zone,” she claims. She hopes to instil such culinary risk-taking lessons in her apprentices.
