Ricky Gervais’ After Life is Back for a Third Season – Here’s the New Trailer

Derek Productions is the creator of the Netflix original series. Gervais developed, wrote, and directed the series, and he also serves as executive producer alongside Duncan Hayes.

For those who are unfamiliar with the show, here’s a quick recap of what you’ve been missing out on. The show is set in the fictional town of Tambury and follows Tony, a local newspaper reporter whose life is turned upside down after his wife dies of cancer. While still grieving deeply, Tony realizes that making other people happy is the only thing that can offer him hope and a cause to live. After all, every ending is a fresh start.

If you’re searching for Ricky Gervais’ typical jokes and presentation, After Life is not for you. The show is more of a drama than anything else, despite the fact that it includes some amusing moments. It delves deeply into what it’s like to lose someone you care about. Many people have liked the show, and it won “Best Comedy” at the National Television Awards in 2021, prompting Gervais to say, “I only do this show for the money.”

David Bradley, Peter Egan, Ethan Lawrence, Colin Hoult, and Michelle Greenidge star alongside Penelope Wilton, Ashley Jensen, Tom Basden, Tony Way, David Earl, Joe Wilkinson, Kerry Godliman, and Jo Hartley. Wendy Albiston, Tim Key, Ricky Grover, Kate Robbins, Ben Hull, and  Cole Anderson-James, are among the guests.
