Adios, Amigo: Spanish Series ‘Grand Hotel’ Leaving Netflix in January 2021

Unfortunately, seasons 1 to 3 of the Spanish series Grand Hotel will be leaving Netflix come January 2021. Hailing from Antena 3, the Spanish series is one of the best to ever set foot on the streaming giant. If you have no plans today or the day after, it might be a good time to watch the series before it leaves.

Grand Hotel is a Spanish period drama that aired in its home country of Spain back in 2011 to 2013. It’s been one of the streaming giant’s staple series but had to leave the platform last November 2016. However, the Spanish series did come back on January 1st, 2019.

With the likes of Yon González, Amaia Salamanca, Adriana Ozores, and Pedro Alonso starring, the series is set during the early 20th century where how you look on the outside mattered the most.

Sadly, all three seasons of Grand Hotel are currently scheduled to depart the streaming giant on the 1st of January, 2021––two years after it was added back in 2019. This goes as part of what looks to be Netflix’s January removals next year.

Streaming in 29 countries, the Spanish series is only announced for removal in the United States so far. If anything, take it as a domino effect wherein other regions might be getting the same memo come December.
