The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 2 Release Date and Trailer

A really vibrant light novel, namely “The Devil Is a Part-Timer!” was penned by Satoshi Wagahara, a Japanese author, in February 2011. The illustrations were done by Oniku. A manga adaptation started in February of the succeeding year, which is still ongoing a decade later. An anime was also greenlit by Studio Whitefox. It aired on April 4th, 2013.

The anime released an episode every week till its finale on 27th June, 2013. This marked a total of 13 episodes. The anime was well received due to its waggish, and merry tone. After the anime aired, it still was cherished by an ever-growing fan base, but to everyone’s surprise a new season hadn’t been announced even years after the anime debuted.

10 years later when not even a single soul would’ve admitted that a season 2 was possible for Devil is a Part-timer, the Production Company Infinite announced that Season 2 is in production. That was perhaps the most shocking news I’ve ever had heard, who would’ve guess 10 years down the line an anime could get a season 2, especially an “Isekai-ish” one at that.

So here’s the deal, Satan has his armies all geared up, and an all out war against all those who stand in his way is raging on. Why does Satan do this? Well because he wants to rule all of Ente Isla. But like every other devil story, Lord Satan’s plans are thwarted by our valiant hero, Emilia.

Emilia represses the evil Satan through a rift, which causes him to end up in the Human world?! Now finding himself trapped in a modern day Tokyo, Japan, a powerless Satan is seen settling down as a Human named Sadao Maou. Along with the help of his loyal generals, Sadou vows to hegemonize the world to his will.

To achieve his goal Sadou takes the first step any great leader would- he joins the fast food chain MgRonald’s as an employee! As our protagonist, Sadou- yes, Sadou- pushes past his limits and serves food with the greatest service, he encounters loyal friends, foes, and misfits of all sorts. So enter Devil is a Part-timer!

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Takes you along for one of the most exuberantly humorous rides that the anime industry has to offer. You’ll encounter devils that once were the epitome of supremacy, now working as food-chain workers! It doesn’t get any better than this, or does it? Well you’ll have to watch the series to find out.

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! 2 Release Date

Yesterday, a new trailer for The Devil is a Part-timer was released, and 14th July, 2022 has officially been set as the air date! The trailer showed how the story further continues, and Satan has a child now?!

By the looks of it, this trailer depicts the series even more so sweetly than before. We’ll send a full review about The Devil Is a Part-Timer! 2 once it finishes.

Till then have you thought of checking out Vinland Saga? It has an absolutely insane rating, and season 2 starts airing next summer!
