The Watcher is a show based on the story of a married couple starring Bobby Cannavale and Naomi Watts, who move into their dream home. Unfortunately, their safety is threatened by creepy letters sent by an unknown stalker.
Jennifer Coolidge as ‘White Lotus’
On the bright side, Ryan Murphy and his co-partner Ian Brennan have introduced a new character, ‘The White Lotus’, featuring Jennifer Coolidge to the mythos who will star along Cannavale and Watts.
Though this limited series hasn’t been officially announced, we do know that it is based on the true story of an infamous ‘Watcher’ house in New Jersey. A couple purchased and moved into a 1905 Dutch colonial home in 2014 that cost $ 1,400,000, but were forced to evacuate over scary letters from the ‘The Watcher’ who had allegedly been stalking the house for decades.
Apart from Brennan and Murphy, Ariel Schulman, Bryan Unkeless, Eric Newman and Henry Joost are working as executive producers to make this series a success.
Netflix reserved the rights to this TV show, as well as a post written by Reeves Wiedeman published in December 2018 on the website The Cut after a tight bidding fiasco.
Coolidge will also star in season 2 of the HBO hit summer series The White Lotus. She is also going to star in two other Netflix films, We Have a Ghost and Single All the Way, as well as Shotgun Wedding.
