Netflix confirms that it will renew the popular teen TV show, Sex Education for a fourth season anywhere between September 2022 to January 2023. This is music to the ears of this series’ fans as they eagerly await the next installment.
The comedy’s raunchy display of authentic characters, a remarkable plot and clever tackling of youth sex and relationships is what has made this Netflix Original an arsenal.
When Will Filming Take Place?
Season four’s filming is set to take place over spring-summer in 2022, which means that fans will have to sit out for almost the entire year. We, however, look forward to new episodes that pack nothing short of drama.

Will the Current Cast Be Renewed?
Though casting is still underway for season 4, we expect the addition of new trans characters who will be a power couple. Most characters are expected to return for the next season including Gillian Anderson as Jean Milburn, Emma Mackey as Maeve, Asa Butterfield as Otis, Lou Wood as Aimee, Ncuti Gatwa as Eric, Kedar Williams Stirling as Jackson and Connor Swindells as Adam.
Do We Expect Sex Education Season 5?
With Netflix churning out a new season of Sex Education every year since its launch in January 2019, fans are eager to find out whether the show will be renewed for a fifth season, perhaps towards the end of 2023.
All we have right now is speculations, with some of the show’s actors claiming that Sex Education could be closer to its end than its beginning. In general, there has been no official confirmation concerning the series’ 5th season release, but we’ll definitely keep you in the loop.
But with the show’s steady content production rate and a great viewership, we are optimistic of a fifth season and then some!
