Who is Directing?
Rick Jacobson is most recently known for directing episodes of such action TV series as Knightfall, Ash vs Evil Dead, Dominion, and Spartacus, so it was a bit of a surprise to see his name pop up in connection to the new Netflix rom-com The Royal Treatment.
Who is in The Royal Treatment?
It stars the Ally of Austin and Ally, Laura Marano, alongside Mena Massoud, star of Disney’s live-action remake of Aladdin. He is set to return to the role of Aladdin in the forthcoming Aladdin sequel, which director Guy Richie is also returning to.
What is the Plot?
The Netflix logline reads: ‘New York hairdresser Izzy seizes the chance to work at the wedding of a charming prince, but when sparks between them fly, will love — or duty — prevail?’
Isabella is an outspoken, motivated young woman who runs her own busy salon, and she and her stylists get the chance to style the hair for a royal wedding. Prince Thomas is marrying out of a sense of duty, even though he is not in love with his bride-to-be. When Isabella and Prince Thomas meet, sparks fly, but we’ll have to wait and see whether they follow their hearts.
When Can We Watch it?
The Netflix American romance film is due to release on January 20th, 2022 on the streaming service.
