Inventing Anna: Netflix Release Date and Teaser Trailer

Get ready for this upcoming Netflix drama, Inventing Anna, as Netflix releases its trailer in November and announces its release date of 21st February 2022.

The 10-episode show was originally set to make its debut this year but was ultimately delayed due to the global pandemic.

What About Inventing Anna?

The show is based on the true incidence of a Russian con artist whose real name is Anna Sorokin. The scammer posed as German royalty to swindle hundreds of millions of dollars from New York City’s rich folks. Anna Sorokin is depicted as Anna Delvey in the series as Netflix poses the logline “Is Anna New York’s biggest scammer or is she a new representation of the American dream?”

Inventing Anna is a Shondaland Production

Inventing Anna is proudly written and created by Shonda Rhimes, who also created Grey’s Anatomy. She collaborated with her partners Betsy Beers and David Frankel for the pilot.

The Netflix’ miniseries based in the 2018 New York Magazine article will explore the misadventures of the Russian scammer-events of how she managed to escape for long leading up to her detention.

Cast Members

The two-time Emmy winner, Julia Garner has been cast as the show’s leading role Anna Delvey. She stars as the European con woman in her mid-20s who stirs up New York. Anna Chlumsky stars as Vivian, a journalist in search of a breaking story and finds it in Anna. Other notable characters include Anna Deavere Smith, Laverne Cox, Arian Moayed, Katie Lowes, Anders Holm, and Terry Kinney.

The series displays the love-hate relationship between Vivian and Anna that develops before the latter’s trial case.
Netflix dropped the first images of this crime-drama series on October 25th on Twitter, announcing the debut of Julia Garner as Anna Delvey.

We can’t wait for time to fly to February when we get to witness this show’s dramatic scenes.
