Netflix to Release ‘Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas’ in 2022

Earlier this year, Netflix released Army of the Dead, directed by Zack Snyder. It follows a team, led by Dave Bautista, as they navigate the zombie-filled city of Las Vegas to break into a safe in one of the casinos. The group consists of mercenaries, a helicopter pilot, a safecracker, and a sharpshooter. It’s a pretty exciting movie, it has mixed reviews but we like it. It’s a little different from other zombie films, but we won’t spoil anything for you by talking about it!

Then came the prequel, Army of Thieves, which stars the safecracker from Army of the Dead as he gets embroiled in all sorts of illegal shenanigans with a team of criminals, all while there is a zombie outbreak sort of subtly starting in the background. This isn’t a zombie movie, it’s an action heist movie with a hint of zombie about it, and it is very cleverly done.

Netflix recently confirmed that the next installment of the zombie saga will be hitting our screens in 2022. It is another prequel to Army of the Dead, this time in the form of an animated series, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas. Dave Bautista will be back as Scott, with Ana de la Reguera, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, and Tig Notaro reprising their roles too. Joining the cast are a few more big-name stars like Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, and Christian Slater. The show will follow Scott and his crew as the outbreak spreads and Las Vegas gets overrun with the dead.

We don’t have an exact date for the release of this show yet, but we are hoping it will be sooner rather than later!
