New Netflix Crime Thriller ‘Brazen’: Release Date and Official Trailer

Brazen is a new Netflix crime thriller movie following a mystery novelist as she tries to solve the murder of her sister. The movie is based on the bestselling mystery novel Brazen Virtue, written by Nora Roberts.

Who is Behind Brazen?

Nora Roberts is the author of the 1988 novel, which was adapted to screenplay by Suzette Couture, Donald Martin, and Edithe Swensen. The movie is directed by Monika Mitchell, known for movies such as John Apple Jack, Ties That Bind, and Break a Leg, and executive produced by Harvey Kahn and Alyssa Milano. 

Who Stars in Brazen?

Brazen stars Alyssa Milano as mystery writer Grace Miller, Milano is known for shows such as Who’s the Boss and Charmed. Starring alongside her is House of Cards and Mad Men actor Sam Page, as investigator Ed Jackson. The cast also includes Emilie Ullerup, Colleen Wheeler, Lossen Chambers, Billions actor Malachi Weir, L.A. Macabre actor Barry W. Levy, and Matthew Finlan. 

What’s the Plot?

Mystery novelist Grace McCabe finishes up a book tour and uses her time off afterward to pay a visit to her sister Kathleen, who is going through a nasty custody battle with her ex. Grace finds her sister struggling with finances, and working as a sex worker to make some extra money along with her teaching job. But when Kathleen gets murdered, Grace’s life becomes a story from one of her own books. The Netflix logline reads: 

‘Mystery writer Grace Miller has killer instincts when it comes to motive — and she’ll need every bit of expertise to help solve her sister’s murder.’

When Can We Watch it?

Brazen is set to start streaming on Netflix from January 13, 2022.
