Bridgerton Season 2 Official Release Date Announcement

Finally, the news we have all been waiting for. The Season 2 release date has been announced here Bridgerton Season Two Date Announcement and fans are over the moon. Bridgerton will return to Netflix for a second season on March 25th, 2022.

What is Bridgerton?

Oh, are you in for a treat if you haven’t seen Bridgerton yet. It is a period drama series created by Chris Van Dusen, based on novels by Julia Quinn, and produced by Shonda Rhimes. Set in Regency-era London in 1813, the drama follows the Bridgerton family – eight siblings and their widowed mother, Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton, as they navigate London’s high society looking for love. Julie Andrews narrates the episodes as the scandalous columnist Lady Whistledown, giving us all the latest gossip and scandal from London aristocracy.  

Who Stars in Bridgerton?

Ruth Gemmell plays the Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton. The cast also includes Regé-Jean Page, Phoebe Dynevor, Jonathan Bailey, the wonderful Irish actress Nicola Coughlan, known for her role in Derry Girls, Claudia Jessie, Sabrina Bartlett, Florence Hunt, Luke Newton, and Will Tilston. 

What’s the Story So Far?

In Season 1 of Bridgerton, we met the Bridgerton family – four brothers, four sisters, and their widowed mother. Eldest sister Daphne Bridgerton makes her debut onto Regency London’s marriage market, looking for true love when she meets the rebellious bachelor Simon Bassett, the Duke of Hastings. Cue one of those fake courtships and will they won’t they stories that we all love to watch! 

What Will Happen in Season 2? 

We know that Simon Basset, played by Regé-Jean Page, is not returning for Season 2 of Bridgerton, so what will that mean for Daphne? Will Queen Charlotte find out who Lady Whistledown is? We know that the season is going to focus on Anthony Bridgerton this time around, so will he find love? Sex Education’s Simone Ashley is set to join the cast as Kate, who is a smart, headstrong young woman. It sounds like she might be more than a match for him.
