Jules (Hunter Schafer), Rue (Zendaya) and other Euphoria cast members return for another stunning new season. Fans are counting hours till the second run of the series drops on HBO Max on Sunday, January 9 2022.
Season 1 took us through the dramatic lives of East Highland’s teenagers going through 21st century high schoolers struggle with drugs, sexuality and relationships. If you thought that last season was hella dramatic, get ready for more intense drama than ever before in the upcoming season.
Will Season 1’s Cast Members Return?
Though the first season surprised us with a cliffhanger of Rue’s supposed death, showrunner Sam Levinton ascertains that the character didn’t die in the finale and will be returning. It’s also safe to assume that Fezco (Angus Cloud) will return in season 2.

We expect the rest of the ensemble cast to return as well, including Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard, Barbie Ferreira as Kat Hernandez, Maude Apatow as Lexi Howard, Jacob Elordi as Nate Jacobs, Storm Reid as Gia Bennett and Alexa Demie as Maddy Perez.
Are There New Cast Members This Season?
In August last year, HBO confirmed the addition of three new members to Euphoria’s cast, including performer and singer Dominic Fike, acting newbie Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. and the Friday Night Lights alumni Minka Kelly.
Kelvin Harrison Jr. will also join the cast in the 2nd season. He was supposed to appear in season 1 but couldn’t because of a scheduling conflict.
Euphoria Season 2 Trailer
HBO Max released the suspenseful thriller packed trailer on December 20 2021, showcasing Rue finding a new source for drugs as her addiction progresses. The trailer also hints at a possible romance between Nate and Cassie, and Kat’s personality continues to evolve.
